Episode 105 - After All These Years Finally Making Progress
This week, I wanted to talk about something that doesn’t happen nearly as often as we would like: finally seeing progress after years of putting in the work.
For a long time, writing and podcasting have been passions that existed largely on faith. You create, publish, show up consistently, and hope that eventually something connects. Most of the time, the results arrive slowly, if they arrive at all. Recently, though, I experienced something different. For the first time in a while, I could see measurable signs that the work was moving forward.
In this episode, I share my thoughts on publishing books, experimenting with new genres, watching reader engagement grow, and the emotional reality of tracking results when you’ve invested so much of yourself into what you create. It’s a conversation about patience, persistence, and the challenge of continuing when success feels distant.
More importantly, it’s a reminder that progress often arrives long after we think it should. Whether you’re building a career, investing for the future, learning a new skill, or pursuing a creative dream, the work you do today may be laying foundations you can’t see yet. Sometimes growth is happening beneath the surface long before the results become visible.
The Books By Josh Audio Immersion is a reflective podcast focused on perspective, growth, and the quiet lessons we often overlook. Each episode is an invitation to slow down, think differently, and explore ideas that don’t always fit into neat categories.
